Bookkeeping records it. Invoicing runs it.

Mach Works is a single download. Each module unlocks with its own license key and works completely on its own. Own both and they share one file: every invoice, payment and credit lands in the books without being typed twice. Start with either one and add the other key any time: paste it in, no reinstall, no import.

Any Bookkeeping module works with any Invoicing module, or use either one alone.

Every key includes

Customers and suppliers · invoices, credits and supplier orders you can print or save as PDF, with your logo and color · payments against them · deposits paid up front · your items and prices · backups, and a download of everything. Bookkeeping and Invoicing each build on this.

Your data, in and out

Everything goes in. Everything comes out.

Your books aren't locked in a format only we can read. Bring them over from QuickBooks and your bank, and take all of it out whenever you like: to Excel, to QuickBooks, to TurboTax (a TXF file), to your accountant.

Take it out

  • ExcelOne workbook: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, Schedule C, who owes you and who you owe, the chart of accounts, the year's journal entries and the trial balance. Real numbers, ready to add up.
  • QuickBooksA file QuickBooks Desktop imports: your accounts, customers, vendors and every entry, as journal entries. If you ever go back, your books go with you.
  • TurboTaxExports a TurboTax file (TXF) for Schedule C.
  • CSVA spreadsheet file of any report, one click.
  • PDFInvoices, supplier orders, credits, customer statements and 1099-NECs, to print or send.
  • 1099-NEC1099-NECs for contractors: a file you upload to an online 1099 filing service.
  • EverythingOne download with everything: your books, every receipt photo, the Excel file and the QuickBooks file.

Bring it in

  • QuickBooksSwitch from QuickBooks Desktop: accounts, customers, vendors, open invoices, unpaid bills and every balance, checked against QuickBooks' own reports before you start.
  • BankThe statement files your bank's website offers (CSV, OFX, QFX or QBO), from any bank.
  • ReceiptsA photo of the receipt. Mach Works fills in the vendor, date and total when it can read them, and you check them.

Excel, QuickBooks and TurboTax exports come with Bookkeeping. Every key can download all of its own data, whole.

On the launch pad

Next up, after Mach Works lifts off. Plans, not part of what you buy today; they ship when they’re ready.

  • Mac Windows 11 at launch; a Mac version is coming soon.
  • Other countries and currencies US at launch; more countries follow, in their own currencies.
  • Card payments, recorded for you Connect your own Stripe account. When a customer pays, the payment and Stripe's fee land on the invoice and in your books.
  • AI assistant Your own AI answers questions about your books, brings in data and drafts invoices. You approve what posts.

Software used to be something you owned.

Then it became something you rent: per month, per company, forever. We go back to the old deal. Pay once, install it, and keep using it. The version you buy is yours to keep using, with no subscription; a new version is a separate, optional purchase.

Your data stays yours

Everything lives in a file on your PC. Back it up like any file. Export all of it, every transaction, customer and invoice, and take it elsewhere whenever you choose. There’s nothing on our side to hold it.

Built for you, ready for your accountant

You don’t need to know accounting to use it. At tax time the figures are already put together: fill in the forms yourself, or hand the packet to your accountant. Tax reports are worksheets for your tax software or accountant; review them before you file.

Simple by design

It’s built for the person who runs the business and does the books as needed. If a screen needs a manual, we did it wrong.
